The Quadrantid meteor shower will hit on January 3rd, 2009

The Quadrantid meteor shower is a very rare and unpredictable appearance, so if you, or someone in your family, are a space enthusiast, remember to be outside in the early hours of the 3rd of January, 2009, just before sunrise. The western part of the United States and Canada will have the vantage point during the shower, seeing how the Moon will no longer be visible before the Sun comes up, as it will be two days away from its second quarter.

Introduction: Chinese New Year

There the 15-day New Year festivities are celebrated with a week of vacation in metropolitan areas of China. Much like the Western New Year (January 1st), the biggest celebration is on the eve of the holiday. At the turn of the new year, fireworks cover the city. Aside from New Year's Eve, there are other important days of the 15-day New Year Festival.

Another special is red envelopes, which called "hong bao" in Mandarin, the red envelopes filled with money are typically only given to children or unmarried adults with no job. If you're single and working and making money, you still have to give the younger ones the hong bao money. The color red denotes good luck/fortune and happiness/abundance in the Chinese Culture and is often worn or used for decoration in other celebrations.

Fastly,it comes to the end of the semester. But I just been familiar with my classmates.
I found there are many funny people in my class,like George Lee,Hanghang,Simon,and Roger.
Next week and two more weeks the final exam will hold separately. It`s will be a hard time.
Now I want to go to sleep and get up at 3.00P.M. to study Calculus.

LG's magical GD910 wrist phone

It was deliciously inevitable that a watch phone would eventually show up that could actually "pack it all in," and it looks like LG has actually accomplished that feat in its LG-GD910 model. Of note, the phone packs a touchscreen LCD, 3G data, and a built-in camera for videoconferencing and being a general badass. Sure, browsing to your favorite gadget blog might be a tad bit difficult on that 1.43-inch screen, and there's always the question of fashion, but those are minor quibbles -- the real question is where can we get one, and for how much. LG should be showing this off at CES next month (it showed off a predecessor this January), and plans to release it in Japan and Europe, but we've got a couple of cereal box-delivered 2-way wrist radios crossed behind our backs in hopes for a US berth.

My favorite band - X-Japan

X-Japan is a Japanese band founded in 1982 by Toshimitsu "Toshi" Deyama and Yoshiki Hayashi. Originally named X the group achieved its breakthrough success in 1989 with the release of their second album Blue Blood.

They started out as a power/speed metal band and later gravitated towards a progressive sound, at all times retaining an emphasis on ballads. After three more albums, X Japan disbanded in 1997.

Besides being one of the first Japanese acts to achieve mainstream success while on an independent label, the group is widely credited for pioneering the visual kei movement, though most of the group's members toned down their on-stage attire in later years.

As of 2007, the band has sold over twenty million records and over two million home videos.
On 4 June 2007 it was announced the band would reunite with a new song released via digital download in January 2008 and live performances scheduled for March and May.

Von Neumann architecture

The von Neumann architecture is a design model for a stored-program digital computer that uses a processing unit and a single separate storage structure to hold both instructions and data. It is named after the mathematician and early computer scientist John von Neumann. Such computers implement a universal Turing machine and have a sequential architecture.

A stored-program digital computer is one that keeps its programmed instructions, as well as its data, in read-write, random access memory (RAM). Stored-program computers were an advancement over the program-controlled computers of the 1940s, such as the Colossus and the ENIAC, which were programmed by setting switches and inserting patch leads to route data and to control signals between various functional units. Movie introduction - Saw

Saw is the first installment of the Saw horror film series. Directed by James Wan and written by Wan and Leigh Whannell, Saw was filmed during only eighteen days of production. It was first shown at the Sundance Film Festival in early 2004 and saw international release later that year on October 29. Saw is essentially an expansion of Wan and Whannel's 2003 short film of the same name.

The film's story revolves around two men who are kidnapped and trapped locked in an industrial bathroom with a dead body between them and given instructions related to escaping. Meanwhile, police detectives investigate and attempt to apprehend the criminal responsible, the "Jigsaw Killer".

Originally rated NC-17 for strong, graphic violence, the film was slightly edited to achieve an R rating. The unrated version is available as the Saw: Uncut Edition, a DVD special edition that was released around the same time that Saw II was released theatrically.

Tomy's printer-equipped Xiao digital camera hits Japan

We already caught a brief glimpse of Tomy's Zink printer-equipped Xiao digital camera earlier this month, but with the Friday release date now upon us, we finally have a few more details about the would-be Polaroid successor. That includes word of a price for both the camera (¥34,800, or just under $370), and the paper you'll need to actually print photos which, at ¥880 (or about $9) for 20 sheets, likely won't have you plastering your walls with the 2x3-inch shots, even though they do actually have adhesive backs. Interestingly, you can also use the camera to print photos from any IrDA-equipped cellphone, but unfortunately not via WiFi or Bluetooth, which would be a tad more welcome. If that's got you intrigued, you should have a slightly easier time picking one up when it launches internationally next spring, although by then it'll likely also be competing with Polaroid's own Zink-equipped camera.

There are many excellence in Chang-Gung’s dormitory. Let me introduce my room to you. When you push forward the room door, you can see the white wash basin and a big mirror on your left with a twilit light. It is not a hotel, it is Chang-gung’s dormitory. We also have a isolate bathroom and stool, so your roommate can use the stool if they are in emergent need while you are taking a bath. As the winter’s coming, we need more hot water. It is a big problem in other university’s dormitory but not in Chang-Gung’s. We have 24h hot water support here, and you can take a warm bath any time.

When it comes to the rent, I am glad to tell you we have the medium prise in the market but the best facilities in our room. For example, our computer table is connected with the closet, and the plank bed is on their top. And they all made of high class wood.

If you feel hungry there is Family Mart in first floor and it opened from A.M. 7 to P.M.1, so you almost have food to eat any time. There also have a breakfast station on morning. It is really convenient for Chang-Gung student to live there. There also have many advantage about our dormitory, I thought I am very lucky to live in Chang-Gung’s dormitory.

Samsung's all up in Sony's OLED space this morning at the FPD International 2008 show. They started by trotting out that 40-inch OLED TV again, with a Full HD resolution, 8.9-mm depth, and contrast ratio so high they just call it 1,000,000:1. Then they upped the ante while dialing down the dimensions to a 4-inch, ultra-thin 0.05-mm OLED (pictured above) with 480 x 272 pixel resolution, 100,000:1 contrast, 200cd/m2 brightness -- so thin that it was displayed flapping in the wind. Take that Sony and your 0.3-mm OLED chubster. Sammy then reached deep into its bag of tricks with a transparent AMOLED display (first hinted at around these parts in early 2006) with an appropriately clad model presumably meant to invoke your pubescent fantasies of x-ray vision. The last saturday, after fabricated the plastic cushions. We found it`s not enough ! The green area only in the middle of the path in the room,so we decided to go to Carefour to buy more plastic cushions again. This time we have new companions A Zhou and Gaojing,the guys who are respectively lodge in 403 and 409 room. A Zhou is a cool man. As me,he rider manual gear motorcycle,too. It`s really cool and exciting. How about Gaojing? uhh...Let`s we set the camera to Carefour again! This time we have three bikes to carry more objects than the last time. We first go to the Tofu pudding vendor again. Under my commend, they have a good snack experience time as my last time went to here,too. And then we went to the cushion section,Choosing the different color for our set`s floor. And my choice is navy blue After about one hour`s ramble,we finally went to the food section. This time we want to eat the cooke food,because it`s time about 5 o`clock. Ponpon,Batista and I bought a fried chicken buckte,it`s have 3 chicken breast, 3 chicken leg, 3 chicken wings, and a free Cocacola This time we also have a good time in Carefour,it`s sound something strange,but Carefour is really a good place that for people to go to when they are in vocation. Last Saturday my roommate Ponpon,Batista and I drive to Carefour togethet. We planed to buy many snacks to be our night snack. After parked our bike,we go to the Tofu pudding vendor first. I ordered a grass jelly tofu pudding and spent 45 NTD. But that`s worthy,its mouthfeel taste fantasy great. The soup is joybean milk unlike the other is ice water. After the refreshment, we keep going on for our plan - to buy much food to restore in our room. The following are the list that we planed to buy:covenience noodle,Pringles Potato chip,Poca Rays, some candy, and the most important - the plastic cushions. We planed to decorate our room to a Castle that appearing in the fairy tales. So we go the shelf that exhibit many color of plastic cushions. After about five minutes`s discussion we decided to buy the green cushions for our room floor. Finally we went to the food section to buy the secondary. We have a good afternoon in the Carefour, it`s time to go home.
